Default 2013 Scion FR-S Exterior Detail 8.0 hours

Aloha all...

I had the pleasure detailing the exterior of this pearl white 2013 Scion FR-S. This was a 8 hour exterior detail. The Scion FR-S came in good condition with dealer induced hairline swirlings on the entire.

My process and products used are listed below. Well enjoy the pics of the exterior detail of this pearl white 2013 Scion FR-S. All of the pics were taken with the Canon S100 P&S camera.

Wash Step:

1. Wash vehicle down with the Prima Hydro Wash in a 3.5 gallon bucket with Grit Guard using the GTechniq Wool Wash Mitt. Dried with PakShak 25" x 36" ultra-soft waffle weave micro fiber towels.

2. Removed iron ferrous particles from each wheel using the CarPro Iron X. Race Glaze Wheel Brush was used to clean each wheel.

3. Cleaned the wheels, inside wheel barrels and tires with Optimum Power Clean. Combination of brushes and wheel woolies were used. Tires were agitated with tire brush. Pressure washed under wheel wells.

4. Sprayed down vehicle with CarPro Iron X to remove iron ferrous metal particles on the paint finish.

5. Wash vehicle down with Prima Hydro Wash in 3.5 gallon bucket with Grit Guard using the GTechniq Wool Wash Mitt.

6. Clayed with Car Brite gray (fine) clay bar with Optimum No Rinse diluted to clay lubricant strength.

Polish Step:

1. Cutting: Makita 9227 high speed rotary set between 1 and 2 on the speed dial with the Euro-Shine blue polishing pads and Menzerna PF 2500 Power Finish. Tighter areas got the Lake Country 4" orange light-cutting pads and Menzerna Power PF 2500 Power Finish.

2. Finishing: Griot's Garage 6" random orbital polisher set between 4 and 5 on the speed dial with the Euro-Shine 6" Blue Polishing Pads and Menzerna SF 4500 Super Finish.

3. Wash the vehicle with Prima Hydro Wash and a Meguiar's micro fiber wash mitt. Dried the vehicle with the PakShak 25" x 36" ultra-soft waffle weave micro fiber towels.

4. Wipe down paint finish with Prep All Wax and Grease Remover.

Paint Coating (LSP) Step:

1. Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 applied by hand with 4" yellow foam applicator pad. After 5 minutes, lightly buffed with PakShak 16" x 16" ultra micro fiber towels.

Final Steps:

1. Dressed tires with Chemical Guys Silk Shine Tire Dressing with NoMess Tire Foam Applicator Pad.

2. Chrome exhaust tip was polished with the Zephyr Metal Polish and protected with Blackfire Metal Sealant.

3. Door jambs protected with Chemical Guys V7 Hybrid Spray Sealant with a PakShak 16" x 16" ultra-smooth micro fiber towel.

4. Exterior trim protected with Ultima Tire and Trim Guard with 4" yellow foam applicator pad.

Afters:

Thanks for looking!

Thank you & Aloha,
Ranney

Very nice Ranney. Did you try the CG Silk Shine on that honey comb grill? Wish they didn't put on that front license plate holder, but I guess it's the law.
